RFG POOLED EMPLOYER PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies
- Eligible participants may elect to have a percentage of their eligible compensation, as defined by the Plan and Participating Employer adoption agreement, contributed as a pre-tax or Roth contribution.
- Participants who have attained age 50 before the end of the Plan year are eligible to make catch up contributions.
- The Participating Employers in the Plan may elect automatic enrollment and escalation features.
- Accordingly, the Participating Employer will automatically withhold a defined percentage of an eligible participant’s compensation based on the Participating Employer’s adoption agreement, unless they affirmatively elect not to participate in the Plan.
- Automatically enrolled participants have their contributions invested in the designated default fund until changed by the participant.
- Under the terms of the Participating Employer adoption agreements, the Participating Employers may elect to make safe harbor contributions, matching contributions, nonelective contributions, prevailing wage contributions, qualified nonelective contributions (QNECs) or qualified matching contributions (QMACs) to the Plan.
- Participating Employers may also elect to make true-up matching contributions.
- Vesting schedule: Immediate vesting to six year graded or cliff vesting, as elected by each Participating Employer.
- Participants are immediately vested in their contributions plus actual earnings thereon.
- Vesting in the Participating Employer contribution portion of their accounts, plus actual earnings thereon, is based on years of service, ranging from immediate vesting to six year graded or cliff vesting, as elected by each Participating Employer.
- Notwithstanding the above, participants become fully vested in the Participating Employer contributions upon reaching normal retirement age, death, or total or permanent disability.
