VERSATECH, INC. 401(K) PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies

  • Participants may contribute on a pre-tax or after-tax basis up to 90% of their annual compensation, as defined in the Plan, subject to the statutory limitations established by the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
  • The after-tax "Roth" contributions are subject to federal income taxes in the year of deferral.
  • Participants who have attained age 50 before the end of the Plan year are eligible to make catch-up contributions.
  • The Plan includes an auto-enrollment provision whereby all newly eligible employees are auto-enrolled in the Plan with a default deferral rate set at 4% of eligible compensation unless they affirmatively elect not to participate in the plan.
  • The Company provides a safe harbor matching contribution for all eligible employees, equal to 100% of the first 4% of the participants’ compensation contributed to the plan.
  • Participants are immediately vested in their salary deferral contributions, rollovers, safe harbor match and discretionary match contributions plus actual earnings thereon.
  • Vesting in the Company non-elective profit-sharing contributions is based on years of continuous service.
  • After two years of service, a participant becomes 20% vested in the employer contributions in the Plan; the vesting percentage increases by 20% each year until the participant becomes fully vested in his or her account after six years of service.
