THE VILLAGES CHARTER SCHOOL, INC. EMPLOYEES SAVINGS PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies
- Each year, participants may contribute pre-tax deferrals up to 100% of annual compensation, as defined in the Plan document.
- Effective June 1, 2023, participants may also contribute after-tax Roth deferrals.
- Participants whose 50th birthday is on or before the last day of the Plan year are eligible to make catch-up contributions.
- Participants may also contribute amounts representing distributions from other qualified defined-benefit or contribution plans.
- The Plan is set up with an "automatic" deferral feature.
- If no Salary Reduction Agreement is completed, the School will automatically withhold 5% of the participant’s Plan compensation from each paycheck and deposit such amounts into the Plan as a salary deferral.
- The School will contribute to the Plan a matching contribution of 100% of the first 5% of the participant’s compensation.
- Additionally, the School may make profit-sharing contributions, at its discretion, subject to certain employment and service conditions, as defined in the Plan document.
