STERICYCLE, INC. 401(K) RETIREMENT PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies
- Each year, participants may contribute up to 100 percent of pretax annual compensation, as defined in the Plan.
- Participants who have attained age 50 before the end of the plan year are eligible to make catch-up contributions.
- The Plan includes an auto-enrollment provision whereby all newly eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the Plan unless they affirmatively elect not to participate in the Plan, except for Warren employees, who are not eligible for automatic enrollment.
- Automatically enrolled participants have their deferral rate set at three percent of eligible compensation and their contributions invested in a designated balanced fund until changed by the participant.
- The Company contributes 50 percent of the participant’s contribution, not to exceed $3,000 per participant, to all eligible non-Warren employees.
- For Warren employees, the Company contributes 50 percent of the first five percent of eligible compensation that a participant contributes to the Plan up to a maximum of $1,500 annually.
- Effective November 4, 2024, the Plan was amended to replace the matching employer contribution of 50% up to $3,000 for eligible non-Warren employees with a tiered matching employer contribution, where the Company contributes 100% of the first 3% of eligible compensation and 50% of the next 3% of eligible compensation to the Plan.
- Participants are vested immediately in their contributions and company contributions plus actual earnings thereon.
