SOLAR SAVINGS AND INVESTMENT PLAN Contribution & Match Policy
1. Employee Contribution Rates: Employees can contribute up to 15% of their eligible compensation through pre-tax and after-tax contributions.
2. Employer Match/Contribution Conditions: The employer matches 100% of participant 401(k) contributions up to a maximum of 6% of eligible compensation. For certain plan years, an employer non-elective contribution equal to 3% of eligible compensation is provided, requiring the participant to complete 1,000 hours of service and be employed in the bargaining unit on the last day of the applicable plan year.
3. Vesting Schedule/Eligibility: The vesting schedule for employer non-elective contributions is a three-year cliff vesting schedule, meaning participants fully vest after three years of service. Participants are fully vested in their own contributions and employer matching contributions immediately. Eligibility for employer non-elective contributions requires the participant to complete 1,000 hours of service.
4. Roth 401(k) contribution: The plan allows after-tax 401(k) contributions.
