SDM RETIREMENT PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies

  • Each year, participants may contribute up to 100% of their eligible pretax annual compensation (as defined in the Plan) up to the limits defined by law.
  • Participants who have attained age 50 before the end of the plan year are eligible to make catch-up contributions.
  • The Plan includes an auto-enrollment provision whereby all newly eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the Plan unless they affirmatively elect not to participate in the Plan or who were employed prior to January 2, 2023.
  • Automatically enrolled participants have their deferral rate set at 5 percent of eligible compensation and their contributions invested in a designated balanced fund until changed by the participant.
  • The Adopting Employers will make a safe harbor contribution in an amount equal to 100% of the first 3%, and 50% of the next 2%, of eligible compensation a participant contributes to the Plan.
  • Participants are 100% immediately vested in their own contributions, safe harbor contributions, and employer discretionary matching and profit-sharing contributions, plus actual earnings.
