JONES DAIRY FARM THRIFT PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies

  • Eligible participants are permitted to elect to have a percentage, limited by Plan provisions, of their compensation contributed as pre-tax 401(k) or Roth contributions to the Plan.
  • The Plan includes an auto-enrollment provision whereby all newly eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the Plan unless they affirmatively elect not to participate in the Plan.
  • Effective February 19, 2024, automatically enrolled participants have their deferral rate set at 5.5% of eligible compensation.
  • Prior to February 19, 2024, automatically enrolled participants had their deferral rate set at 5%.
  • The contributions of automatically enrolled participants are invested in the designated default fund until changed by the participant.
  • Participants who have attained age 50 before the end of the Plan year are eligible to make catch-up contributions.
  • The Company makes a nondiscretionary matching contribution to eligible participants equal to 50% of salary deferral contributions, limited to 2.75% of eligible compensation, for participants with 1 to 20 years of service, and 100% of salary deferral contributions, limited to 5.5% of eligible compensation, for participants with 20 or more years of service.
  • The balance in a participant’s account relating to Company contributions becomes 20% vested after two years of credited service and such vesting increases ratably to 100% after six years.
  • All participant contributions are immediately fully vested.
  • Participant accounts are 100% vested upon retirement, disability, or death.
