IONQ 401(K) PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies
- Each year, participants may elect to contribute a portion of their compensation, subject to certain maximum limitations imposed by Section 402(g) of the IRC.
- Participants who have attained age 50 before the end of the Plan year are eligible to make catch-up contributions.
- The Company makes a stated matching contribution of 100% of the participant deferral up to 5% of compensation.
- Participants are immediately 100% vested in their contributions and actual earnings thereon.
- The method for crediting vesting service for Company matching and profit sharing contributions is based on vesting periods of service.
- For profit sharing contributions, a participant is 20 percent vested after being credited with two years of service, increasing by 20 percent after each additional year of service until the participant is 100 percent vested after six years of service Effective September 1, 2023, a participant is 50 percent in the Company match portion of their accounts after 1 year of service, and becomes fully vested after attaining two years of service.
- Prior to September 1, 2023, a participant was 20 percent vested in the Company match portion of their accounts after being credited with two years of service, increasing by 20 percent after each additional year of service until the participant is 100 percent vested after six years of service.
- If participants are employed on or after their Normal Retirement Age or if they terminate employment on account of death or disability, they are 100% vested in their Company matching and profit sharing contributions.
