CIT TRUCKS RETIREMENT READINESS PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies

  • Eligible participants may elect to contribute not less than 1% and up to 75% of their compensation, subject to limitations, to the 401(k) component of the Plan.
  • The Plan includes an auto-enrollment provision whereby all newly eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the Plan unless they affirmatively elect not to participate in the Plan.
  • Automatically enrolled participants have their deferral rate set at 4% of eligible compensation, and their contributions invested in the designated default fund until changed by the participant.
  • The matching percentage for the Plan is 100% of the participant’s 401(k) deferrals up to 4% of eligible compensation.
  • Participants are immediately vested in their contributions, including rollover contributions, plus actual earnings thereon.
  • The portion of the participants’ account attributable to Company contributions is fully vested after the completion of three years of credited service.
  • Notwithstanding the above, participants shall become 100% vested in their accounts upon attaining normal retirement age of 65, their death, or becoming totally and permanently disabled.
