CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF THE DIOCESE OF ROCHESTER, INC. 403(B) PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies
- Participants may elect to defer pre-tax and Roth contributions to the Plan subject to certain limitations of the Plan and the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
- Effective in 2023, the Plan was amended to include an automatic enrollment provision.
- Newly eligible employees who have not otherwise affirmatively opted out of enrolling in the Plan are automatically enrolled with an automatic deferral amount of 5% of eligible compensation.
- This deferral amount increases 1% annually on the first day of the Plan year, up to a maximum of 10%.
- Per diem employees are excluded from the automatic deferral provisions.
- In addition, all seasonal employees hired on or after June 1, 2023 are excluded from the automatic deferral provisions.
- CCDR and other participating organizations may make discretionary matching contributions to the Plan.
- For the 2024 and 2023 Plan years, no matching contributions were made to the Plan.
- Participants are immediately vested in their voluntary contributions and actual earnings/losses thereon.
- Participants are fully vested in employer matching and nonelective contributions and actual earnings/losses thereon upon completion of three years of credited service.
