AZENTA, INC. 401(K) PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies

  • Each year, Participants may contribute up to 25% of their annual pre-tax compensation as defined by the Plan, up to a dollar limit set by federal law.
  • Employees of the Employer shall have an automatic deferral of 3% unless an alternative election is made.
  • An additional deferral of 1% will be added to automatically enrolled Participants’ accounts annually, not to exceed a total deferral percentage of 10% (9% in 2023).
  • Participants who have attained age 50 before the end of the plan year are eligible to make catch-up contributions and to contribute up to 100% of their annual pre-tax compensation to make such contributions.
  • The Employer will make a matching contribution of 100% of the first 3% of eligible compensation that a Participant contributes to the Plan, plus 50% of the next 3% of eligible compensation, subject to certain limitations.
  • Participants are immediately vested in their voluntary contributions plus actual earnings thereon.
  • Vesting in the Employer’s matching and discretionary contributions plus actual earnings thereon is based on years of continuous service.
  • A year of service is defined as a 12-month plan year period.
  • A Participant begins vesting after one year of service and is fully vested after two years of service.
