ASANTE 403B PLAN Contribution, Match and Other Plan Policies
- The Plan provides for employee pre-tax salary deferral contributions, after-tax Roth deferral contributions, or a combination of both.
- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) limits the amount of the participants’ annual wages that can be used when calculating contributions.
- Contributions made to the 403(b) plan are subject to the maximum amount allowed under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC).
- Participants who have attained age 50 before the end of the plan year were eligible to make catch-up contributions.
- Participants may also contribute amounts representing distributions from other qualified plans.
- The Organization makes matching and safe harbor contributions annually to the Plan.
- The Organization matches contributions in an amount equal to 50% of the first 6% of the participant’s deferral contribution up to a maximum of 3% of the participant’s eligible wages.
- The Organization’s safe harbor retirement contributions are up to a maximum of 3% of the participant’s compensation after meeting the eligibility requirements, which is automatically 100% vested.
- The Organization makes the matching and basic contributions to the Plan each bi-weekly pay period.
- Participants must have completed 1,000 hours of service within a 12-month period to be eligible to receive any matching or safe harbor contributions.
- The Plan will provide for an annual "true-up" contribution for employer matching contributions based on participants’ eligible compensation on an annual basis.
- Participants are immediately vested in all contributions plus actual earnings thereon.
