📖 Methodology & Guidance

Inputs: Enter your current age, target retirement age, income, current spending, expected retirement spending, investable assets, and any guaranteed income (Social Security, pensions).

Outputs: This tool projects your portfolio growth from now to retirement using your expected return and inflation rates. It calculates your annual retirement income as: (projected portfolio × withdrawal rate) + pension + Social Security. This is compared against your expected retirement spending to determine readiness.

How to use: Adjust your savings rate, retirement age, or assumptions to see how they impact your projected readiness. The “Advanced Assumptions” section lets you fine-tune return, inflation, and withdrawal rate.
