Does the State of Wisconsin have customizable 529 Plans ?

I notice there is no 529 plan for the state of Wisconsin. Could you create plans for it ?

  • Based on Wisconsin's official 529 web site: http://www.statetreasury.wisconsin.gov/category.asp?linkcatid=2678&linkid=1382&locid=155 and http://www.wellsfargoadvantagefunds.com/wfweb/wf/ev/index.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=no, there are no INDIVIDUAL funds available to form a portfolio. However, one can select a so called fixed allocation portfolio that ranges from 100% equity to 100% bond. You can choose ONLY ONE such portfolio per year.

MyPlanIQ TAA could be still applied to such ONE portfolio per year selection. It is interesting to see how that will work out.
