Percentage returns and creating new acct

I have two questions:
1) Are % returns listed on your site net of fees?
2) If I am creating an acct for fidelity that has 266 funds how do I do this?Thank You,
Mark

  • 1). % Returns are calculated using whatever funds' performance quoted, which are net of funds' expense fees. Other than this, since we are not managing money, there is no other fee factored in.

2). To create an account for Fidelity using 266 funds you choose, you can go to Dashboard and click on 'Plans' on the left panel and create a private plan by entering these 266 funds. You might need to enter R parameter (R=2 means 2 month minimum holding period and so forth) as Fidelity usually requires 2 or 3 month minimum holding periods for each fund. You then customize a portfolio for your own use. You can create a back tested portfolio but do not follow this one. Instead, follow a custom portfolio with start date as today (by default).

You might want to look at Fidelity Extended Fund Picks before doing this. This plan might have what you want already: Fidelity Extended Fund Picks
